Hana went to Alnwick Castle – location for the broomstick scene in the first Harry Potter film! Here she is (with her cousin, Keri)

Trip to England
This year has been a whirlwind so far – new babies take up lots of time and energy, but Joe is still lots of fun!
At the beginning of August we went back to England for 2 weeks to let my family meet Joe for the first time. It was really nice to be back after 18 months and everyone enjoyed the break.
First up was Joe’s Christening – a comedy filled event where the priest forgot we were there and then got Joe’s name wrong every time he spoke! He reminded me of this:

Vespa Scooter Model
Last week I managed to (finally) wash the two Vespas and take the Vespa 100 out for a run around. When I got back Hana decided she wanted to sit on the scooter and pretend to be riding around. I think she looks quite at home on the Vespa!

久しぶりブログ！
By heck! It’s been a long time since I had time to write anything. Being daddy to a baby is busier than I remember …….. or maybe it’s because I have two to look after now.
Last Sunday Hana took her Aikido 11th kyu test. She’s always busy with Aikido, dance at TiMES, school work and helping to look after Joe. I thought she did very well (of course!) and she’s all ready for the move to ‘red bely’ at the next grading test in December.

From April 1st 2011 we made the E English School system simpler for everyone! All the information is on this leaflet.

Golden Week 2011
Busy week’s holiday! Last Saturday I was able to watch Hana’s dance class at TiMES Dance Studio – Hana was really excited and I was very proud!
It’s also been a foody holiday! Yesterday was Joe’s first ‘Boys Day’ so we went for a family lunch at 寿司竜 in Mori Machi. It’s run by Tomomi’s aunt n uncle and we had great food and a great atmosphere.
In the evening we went to Park Place for the last Circus Show (excellent again) followed by an Indian!
Now back to work 
Samurai Joe!
Joe is now 2 months old and his first “Boy’s Day” is approaching. His grandparents came to Oita last week and took him shopping for a suit of armour!!
Dad was very happy as I’d always wanted one too!!

Hello!
It’s been a while since I wrote on the blog – having a new baby plus an energetic 6 year old can be very busy!!
Joe is now 6 weeks old and enjoys drinking milk and crying at night. His favourite hobby is keeping mum and dad awake!
Hana is being the perfect big sister though – I am very lucky to have my family and friends here in Oita!
